Instructor
After leaving Lone Oak, Daniela was hired to rethink and reestablish the Spanish program at Barnesville School in Barnesville, Maryland.
Daniela’s passion for organizing events to highlight Hispanic and Latino heritage found an outlet in “Noche Latina,” an annual evening dedicated to exploring Latino culture with the entire Barnesville School community, including the wide variety of plays, dances, songs (and yes, of course, food) of Latin America.
While at Barnesville, Daniela was also charged with establishing strong leadership of the annual exchange program with Colegio Leonardo da Vinci, a K–12 school in Lima, Peru.
Never one to sit still for very long, Daniela also continued to travel extensively during the summer, sponsoring student exchange programs and cultural exchange trips to South America and Europe.
Daniela has taught Spanish levels I to AP at Montgomery County (Maryland) high schools.
She continues to promote cultural exchange and international travel with high schools and families in the Washington-Maryland region.
Now Daniela has founded her own language school, Spanish Uno Dos Tres, for youngsters and adults alike to learn languages as a door to exploring a wider world.
She is a highly skilled teacher with a vibrant personality, creative, passionate, and enthusiastic about Spanish — and a gift for making others feel welcome and comfortable.
Daniela lives in Montgomery County, Maryland, with her husband and three daughters.
TESTIMONIAL
I would like to share my feelings about an amazing Spanish class that my kids are taking at UnoDosTres. We all love it- no, we adore it! My kids are counting the days and minutes to the next class. They love to listen to the audio files that Mrs. Zeppos sends us and keep asking for more. Time at the class flies! It is so engaging, interesting and fun that it feels like we only spent five minutes there. My kids never have enough of the games! I love that despite the difference in age, they can be in the same class and still love it. Using creative approach and playing games, Ms. Zeppos manages to teach new words and phrases each class by playing different games using them. It seems to be easy and natural, but I know how much knowledge, talent and effort it takes to make it feel that way. I would recommend UnoDosTres to kids and adults to learn, to have fun and to relax!!!!
